SPCA Pet Pantry Program

The Medina County SPCA Pet Pantry provides temporary assistance to residents of Medina County who need help feeding their pets. We understand that times can be difficult, and sometimes a little help is needed. If you require assistance, please visit us to enroll in the program.

Please note: This program is not a permanent source of pet food. We do not provide donations to individuals breeding or selling animals, and we reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

Guidelines are outlined below, but each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. You will receive a punch card, which must be presented at each visit. If you do not have your card at pickup, you will not be able to receive food. A contract must also be signed.

Pet Pantry Hours:

  • Open by appointment on the first and third Monday of each month.

  • Hours may vary based on availability and holidays.

  • The pantry operates while supplies last.

PET PANTRY GUIDELINES & ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Application Process: Submit a completed application form to the Medina County SPCA for review.

  2. Scheduling & Pickup: Once your application is processed and approved, you will be contacted with a pickup date. Assistance is only available to those scheduled. Please be patient as we work through requests.

  3. Proof of Residency: A valid photo ID showing residency in Medina County, Ohio is required. Alternatively, mail with a Medina County address may be accepted.

  8. Redistribution Prohibited: Pet food and supplies received through the Pantry may not be resold, returned, or redistributed. Doing so may result in disqualification from the program.

  9. Special Requests: While we do our best to accommodate requests for specific brands or formulas, distribution is based on current inventory and availability.

  10. Pet Photo Requirement: A photo of your pet (with or without the owner) must be submitted as part of the application process.
